“The Philly Blues Kings is straight-ahead, low-down, hard-driving, hip-shaking, and super-hot electric blues.....”
The Philly Blues Kings is the hard driving house band for Jamey's House of Music, and tonight is your chance to see them in full concert mode.
Fronted by the blues powerhouse, Gwen "PhilaDiva" Jackson, PBK delivers a wide range of blues styles from front porch delta to swinging electric Chicago. The band is comprised of seasoned veterans who live to play the blues. Harp player, Carol Moog, is a fixture on the Philly blues circuit and has been dubbed "a huge sound in a small package." David "Bluesman" Reiter is equally adept on keys and guitar and has backed some of the biggest names in blues for decades. Bassman, Jamey Reilly, is the man behind Jamey' House of Music, and has been a force to be reckoned with in the bottom registers for more than a few blues performers. Holding time is the superlative drummer, Bill Marconi, who is well known in international musical circles as a teacher and performer.
